02 tls w/ factory nav.
Sometimes when i turn on the car i get what looks like the following image. A black backlit screen with some white lines. Other times the nav turns on just fine. Anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

 

Same Here!! I've taken the GPS out and unplugged it then plugged it back in several times and jiggled all the wires behind the unit and in the trunk and still no luck. The odd thing is, sometimes (very rarely) there is a tiny tiny bit of condensation behind the lens of the screen so I wonder if its due to water damage? I don't know though because how would water get in there? I think the only way to fix it is to buy a new $300 unit....uggg

 

I have noticed, that the unit will turn on when the car is warm or if i have driven it for 10 minutes or so. So when i get to a traffic light i just turn off the car and turn back on and the unit will come on ok.

As far as the water, i havent seen that issue at all with my car.
