Has this happend to anyone else? There are times I'll start up my car and my nav screen will stay black. I've tried pushing all of the buttons and nothing works. Most of the time(not all) when I turn my car off and then back on the navi will come on. I just didn't know if this was a frequent problem with the navi's or if I need to have my dealer check it out.

It's happened twice to me since I bought the car in March of 2002 (it's a 2003). Both times it was in the 60s and no unusual humidity, etc.

Rebooting the car has solved the problem twice. Although one time I was following a route and the damn system froze. Since I was in the middle of bumblefuck, VA I had to stop at a gas station and turn the car off/on, but I had to take a piss anyway so it was no big deal.

 

My 2003 CL screen goes black screen without the time displayed. Both the address and the navigation screen come on just fine. Is there a setting I missed somewhere in setup?
