My last deck was a kenwood (as stated) and I never had any issues with it.
I really want something that has easy ipod connectivity. I've read that the second one I posted just has waaay too much scrolling but I don't know cause I haven't used it.

What's a good, relatively cheap costing deck?

Thanks

OH btw to clear up my contradiction between my title and me saying "i never had any problems with my kenwood deck" The only reason it blew is because I got some crazy POS car charger for my cellphone and it blew the fuse and fried the headunit.

If you want the Ipod connectivity, check out Alpine. I had a 9884 (pretty cheap now) and my buddy's got a 9886, and I absolutely love the Ipod navigation in it. Right now, I have a Pioneer, and it's great, but I dunno about the Ipod connectivity since I don't use it.

If you're set on Kenwood, it's really up in the air. Looking at the specs, they're effectively the same unit. The 1st one will silence background CD noise a little bit better, but other than that, it's only cosmetic differences... Your call Nate

the first one only has one line of text. My old Excelon has two and I wouldn't want to downgrade to one. Also, this has the usb port on the front while others have them in the back so you can run them to your glove compartment.
