I would've had the sub facing the other way. the the sub faces the back of the trunk you actually get a 3db+ increase

Is it possible to hook up a sub in the trunk and still use all of the factory speakers with a different head unit? I know I need some sort of adapter to use the Bose speakers with a diff HU.

maf - the instructions said im supposed to position it this way

wiz - factory sub still works. i disconnected it though. takes a second to put it back in.

nate - youd probably need an adapter if you wanted to keep the existing harness (no cutting wires). i dont think you need anything special though

btw, i bolted it down with wingnuts. takes about 1 minute to take it out! sweet!

i put the amp there so when its time to sell, nothing shows. i buy another panel for $20 and its totally original. thats my motto with modding

ohhh, i put the air freshener in the trunk to see how effective it is. it actually works ok!
