Mute or Pause

I don't remember seeing this in the manual.

Is there a way to mute the radio? What about pause a CD? When i need silence for a minute or so all I can do right now his hit the power button. Is this the only way?

hahaha, so many views, no replies.
well, when i hear my cell phone go ring ring, i use my right hand to give the round volume control a flick to the left and it mutes it. When i have finished talking on the cell, i use the steering wheel to increase the volume. works for me.

Yeah, I just use power off. It's a big button, easy to hit quickly, and you get the same effect whether the CD or radio is on. Turning down the volume would let you miss part of your cd.

Luckily there's no power antenna to move up and down, and power restores pretty quickly.

Tap the power button and power off. It remebers where it was on the CD and the volume level. To me, that's the same thing as PAUSE - just a bit more of a delay when turning it back on...
