TL: MP3 player Thru Cassette Adapter Problems
MP3 player Thru Cassette Adapter Problems
Ok so Only when i use the cassette adapter and plug my phone, ipod, or my small 4gig mp3 player.. in other words whatever i plug into it.. the whole passenger side of the car goes really soft, front and back doors, can barely hear the sound coming thru the speakers even when messing with the balance and fade,.. listening to the radio, or CD player, the car bumps, all speakers work... any ideas? i mean obviously its either the adapter or the cassette itself, i just dont want to buy another adapter and waste the 20-30$ if the problem is in the radio itself,,, any one else experience this? or fixed this problem? reccomended cassette adapters??
AND i refuse to buy an Ipod adapter, its such a waste of money, why not buy a new head unit with a USB port for the 180$ lol, i like the stock unit, i plan to install an after market deck down the road but in the meantime..,.. help?
lol thanks guys

It's probably the tape head itself. It's known to fail in just about every brand of radio at some point. You could try a different tape adapter but I would guess you'll have the same issue.
Sounds like to me it's time for a new radio.
