Yes the W7 does look better. I'll give it that. The Max is still cheaper, and the Max can use a smaller box.

the W7 cost more cuz of the name. I know a lot of people that would agree that the IDmax is by far a better sub, and its not just a sq sub, also a great spl.

I don't think anyone disagrees that the W7 or JL in general makes nice products, it's just that you're paying a shitload of money for their marketing.

Just found a new company that makes subs. Check out: http://www.onyxmobileaudio.com/

didnt know you were in a hurry for prices... they go for about $700 for the 1100d model and $450 for the 4500 model. At most places...

w7s ETC

Actually ive heard about 6 different w7 setups, and frankly im not impressed with it for the price. Worth to me about 250-300. Ive also heard every JL sub, and i cant stand JL. Where did people get the idea that they are such a great pruduct? advertising? But i would have to say that the W7 is a huge upgrade for JL, and the new W6v.2 shouldnt come too far behind it, just lower the prices, it price hurts.

:wackit:

The prices are high.....but I don't want to wait for the W8 to come out for the prices to drop. I've had JL in all of my cars and I've liked the way they sound. There aren't many place where I could hear any other different brands. I want to hear Crazy's ID at our meet........who knows.....maybe I'll sell the JL and get an ID sub

For a sealed box the IDMAX 12 works best from 1.1-1.3 cubic feet.

Let's see if this works...

If that doesn't work you can go to http://www.full-line-audio.com/car_a...idmax_encl.htm for all the IDMAX specs.

The Diamond Audio TDX Subs are the best subs around, bar none! But you better send them a shit load of power, from 1.5 to 2K watts, and if you do they will sing. The amps will be expensive, and the speakers are expensive, but you know what....you get what you pay for!

Check them out...

Rainbow is distributed by Arc Audio. Anywhere that sells Arc, can get Rainbow.
