Mmats???

I think I heard that they make great amps...I was going to buy some Focal 165W 6.5" Component System for the front and MB Quart 6X9's in the back...would a MMATS amp be better to power these 4 speakers than a rockford fosgate amp...or do you suggest another amp?...thanks..

I heard when they came out, their mono amps were great... but I havent heard anything more in a log time. Rockford amps are ok for subs, but like most brands in the past few years, they have gone way down-hill and are not what they used to be. Rockford amps have always made mids and highs sounds kinda "tinny". I'd stay away from rockford for your highs. Boston's amps are going to be out soon... as well as Alpine's 4 and 5 channel amps. I am definatly waiting for the Boston amps... they are incredible! I also like the sound of Sony ES amps, but not their looks.

i have matts in the rear quater panel thats leather,.
i had a custom installation its 5 1/2'' coaxial mmatts speakers in the back here ill explain
u know the leather on the door. the same leather in the back above the armrest/bucket. that was removed and i had a special piece made out of foam and some PDF board or whatever u call it and the speakers right behind it , u could barely see it but it actually makes a huge difference, plus my rear decks are removed so theres more bass in the cabin. i'll have pix soon.

I have right now sitting in my trunk a brand new MMATS SQ4070 amp!!

Of course, it's not hooked up to anything ...... YET!!

I have the heat-sink off of it and am going to have it powder coated in some color -- probably YELLOW , or maybe I'll have the guy try to match the PDG color of my car (or at least as close as he can get it).

Anyway, my installer thinks very highly of MMATS. The 4070 is going to power my cabin component sets. I am also getting a MMATS D700.1 mono amp to drive a pair of 12" subs.

I know that last year at a local "BASS-OFF" the guy doing my install kicked @SS and took 1st place overall. All with MMATS amps.

I can't wait for my set-up to be completed! :P

I wish I could tell you more, but right now that's all I can contribute. I'm hoping he can put it all together for me by 01-Jun ... for the PAA meet.

I'll post pics/more info upon completion.
