I know most of you have seen the monitor in the rear view mirror. i was wondering if anyone has put them in the side view mirrors?? if so how much would this cost??

I don't think that would be a good idea for a street car because i doubt it would hold up to the elements, but for a show car, it would be pretty cool

Yeah, and that is just asking for problems from cops. But if you used it to decrease ur blind spot, ids say its a good idea, to watch a DVD while switching lanes. id say no

From Streetz its about $600-$700. I know another shop that charges $1200 for the same thing. Its a 2.5" monitor in the rear view mirror. I think ArN 2000 TL thinks you mean the side mirrors.

We're working on some side mirrors in a couple weeks with monitors in them, so we can definitely do them though.

Don't do it man. When I go to work there is this white accord and it has 4 screens inside and 1 on each mirror. talk about dumbass. I have seen him being pulled over and getting a ticket. So far he has probably gotten about 15 tickets just in front of my club parket. All the girls that come to our club laugh and talk a lot of **** about his ride. Even the other bouncher laugh right in his face. DONT DO IT

Productive use would be if the car was driven. Everyone always seems to forget that the BMW is strictly a business/demo/show car, it doesn't get driven everyday. A lot of the stuff is not at all practical, it's for show use only.

The monitors, however, will be wired to left and right cameras which have a MUCH WIDER viewing angle than just the side mirrors themselves, so you will be able to see even more of what's around you.

what you do os get them installed and fold them in when you park. Just dont roll around your neighbborhood with them on and make sure that if you go to a bad neighborhood to park, that they are turned off.

Actually, the ones I will be doing will look like a full mirror when they are off, you won't even know they are there, and the mirrors will be motorized to open and close.
