Hi, i was thinking of changing the front door speakers and dash tweeters with MB quart components. Anyone had try them and if they fit or not? Can someone also confirm me on the spacer thickness? 3/4 or 1 inch?

Given that their P-series' mounting depth for the 6.5s (2.5") is the same as most of their Q-series 6.5s (2.5" also), you should be fine with either. However, note that their new "Q 216 SIG 6.5" has a mounting depth of 2.58", and that's pushing it.

The MB Quarts will fit in the TSX i am running MB Quart QSC 216 Components in the front they replaced the stock 6.5 and tweeters fits fine, I am also running MB Quart RCE 269 6x9 in the back and they fit perfectly. I am not using stock Amp however it's powered with Rocford Fosgate P4004. They were professionally installed so i can't explain how it's being wired etc..

Would any of you with the quart tweeters in the dash be able to post a pic or email me one. (bullyx2 at gmail.com) I am going to be replacing the speakers in my TSX (not the 6x9's though) and am digging for pics of replacement tweets in the dash. Thanks!!!

You might want to read Jiggaman's posts about how he has finally decided his tweeters sound bad.

I don't like MBQ tweeters anyway, but in the dash? That's asking to saw your ears off.

Almost any tweeter can be wrapped in grille cloth and will look fine.

I know the 0.75 Quart tweeters will fit. The 1" tweeters would be close and would involve modding the inside of the sail housing.

The door spacer water shield will need a good bit of mod, but it's only plastic.
