MB Quart
Well I spent a small penny on my MBs and for someone reason they aren't quite as nice as what I expected. I know first guess is gonna be the amp the are on which is a PPI 4400.2 which I would think should be enuff power ? Anyone else have MB? What are you powering them with?

I had MB's installed last week, Reference Premium series coaxials 6.5 front and 5.25 rear. Using Rockford 600a4 for power, 75x4. Thought I would try them with stock head unit but discovered that I need to upgrade for better sound. Will be switching to the P920R like yourself (6.5 volt preouts) and the 6 disk in dash changer. The amp seems to make plenty of power to drive these speakers.

Hey I am seriously considering getting the P7000CD so before you commit on the 920r let me know as I would want to sell mine.

what is it you don't like about your MB Quarts? And which speakers did you get?
I had had MBQ's in my Integra and they sounded great. But the 216's I have in my new TL sound WAY too trebly.
My installer mounted the tweeters separately (instead of in-line like they were in my 'tegra), up by the side-view mirrors (but inside the cabin, of course). Maybe that is contributing to the over-treble?
Any ideas if pointing the tweeters back/forwards more would help? They're basically mounted pointing 90 degrees out from the door and I'm thinking maybe I should point them towards me (that the windshield glass is reflecting the sound).

I have coaxial reference's. As far as too trebly you might want to adjust your gains. I don't think they sound as clear and crisp as I think they should.
