Low profile sub enclosure

I am looking for recommendations for a low profile 10" sub enclosure. Currently I have a Q-Logic sealed box, not too big, about 15"x15". I was hoping to cut down on the space it takes up by finding a low profile box, preferrably down firing so I can even put stuff on top of the box. I haven't found too much so far, so any recommendations are appreciated. If it helps, this is in a subaru legacy, trunks are not very big.

have you considered a custom enclosure from uncald4. i bought one from him, it's made to sit in the corner of the trunck and takes up very little space. I actually have a big baby stroller and a couple rims in my trunck right now and still have room lerft over.

Sounds interesting, would you be able to post a pic of your setup? Thanks.

Actually I just found uncald's thread, those look awesome, however I guess I should have mentioned I no longer have my CL-S. I now have a subaru legacy GT. Thanks for the info though.

I've had that sub and tried to build every box to make it sound good. If you want output thats not the sub to go with.

Adding on, the goal of a slim line box / sub is for space saving - not pure output. IF pure output is your goal, then you shouldn't be looking at slim line design.

This goes back to the original poster. What is your goal you are trying to achieve?

I've never heard it, but JL just made a slim line design, and JL puts out some pretty good subs.

has anyone tried a slim enclosure that would normally be used for hatchbacks or trucks??? i currently have a bandpass 12" box in my trunk... and the extra weight isn't helping my MPG either...

For looks and best fitment go with a custom enclosure. That way you can get it just the way you want it.
