loose wires
loose wires
just wondering if you guys have this problem. I recently(a month ago) installed a single 12" in my trunk running on about 300w rms. I keep having problems. It runs off a line out converter off my rear speakers.
First problem one channel of the line out converter just plain broke...no idea.
so I switched positions since it has room for 4 channels. Then the wires on the LOC got loose and fell out...ok re-tightened them. Then my ground wire fell off the amp...then one of the wires fell off the speaker box..
So long story short, obviously the sub is shaking the ever loving $hit out of the components. What do you guys use to prevent such problems.......loctite thread locker? I've never had this happen with a system before. I put everything on very tight and to be honest I'm afraid to put them on any tighter. btw, the amp and LOC is not on the speaker box, they're off to the side, attached to the trunk floor.

Zip tie your wires down???
I've got bout 1700rms@1ohm to my substage and have yet for it to make any connections loose
Try soldering your wires on the LOC?
Ground wire to your amp.... your tigtening bolt is probably not tight enough, or you have too much wire. If theres more copper than the hole can fit, don't jam it in there, trim some of it off so that it can go into the hole, and then tighten the bolt. More copper is better, but more copper wouldnt do you any good if you can't safely secure it in the hole
