Looking to save trunk space
Hi all -
I am looking to put a 10 or 12" sub in my 2002 TL-S. I have a Sony 75x4 + 1x150 amp, and Polk DB6 for the front.
My question is, I am VERY limited on trunk space, as I have a young child. I am looking for pictures or recommendations for sub enclosures and ideas on how to do this with the smallest possible footprint. Unfortunately, strollers and cribs now have priority over the music.
Thanks!

That amp is probably too big to fit under the seat so, that is out. You could have it mounted over the spare tire but still below the carpet cover. Or have or make an amp board that fits up against the rear seats. There are many 10" subs that fit in tiny enclosures. They could be pushed up against the amp board or tucked in the left or right rear corner. Even 12" subs can get in pretty small boxes. Alot depends on how much room you can actually give up. I myself am going that same route come April 30th so, I can relate. I am going to try and move both amps into the spare tire well, (keeping the spare), and move the sub as far toward the rear seats as possible.

Yep I am thinking of doing the ampboard, or possibly mounting the amp UNDER the back deck - I'm not sure if this is feasible or not, I haven't studied the area as well as I should have as of yet. Would probably require a fan to keep the heat from rising up toward the amp....
Any recommendations for a sub that will work well in a smaller enclosure? Probably going to go with a single 10"..... I am thinking Kicker Solobaric, maybe there are others with lower cubic requirements.....
I did find this pic long ago in an older thread, this is kind of what I have in mind (my apologies to whoever owns this car for the borrowing of the pic)......

That is exactly what I was talking about for the rear side panel. Takes up very little room. The amp mounted upside down could pose some heat problems, so be sure and consider that. The fan could fix that problem. As for small box 10" subs:
Boston Pro 10.5
Kicker S10L7
Arc Audio 10D4
Image Dynamics IDQ or ID 10
There are probably lots of others as well.
