I own a 99 2.3 cl and i'm looking to swap out the oem stereo for a in dash double din.I'm looking to spend about 4to 500 max and would like the best i can get for the price.Also would like a flush fit without to much adjustments so any options for us 1st gen cl owners?One of my buddies was asking for 400 on an avn eclipse unit anyone install one of these into your cl?

 

You just missed the Alpine W404 for $205 shipped yesterday on woot.com. Personally, I'm sticking with Alpine decks in my CL from now on. That's just me though. Some people have had good luck with Pioneer's and other hu's but I like my Alpines.

Do you have Bose in your CL?

 

Nope i have a 2.3 i don't think those came stock with the bose unit.My battery terminals were cached and the battery completely died last night so now i need a code for the unit and from what i've read i may as well buy something new.Plus i have an ipod which has no use as of right now.

 

The code should be in your owners manual. Mine was on a business card.

 

Pioneer double dins is the only way to fly if you ask me, although I really like the eclipse dvd/navi's as well

 

One vote for the AVH-P3200 or 4200DVD models.

 

for that price you not gonna find anything great brand new, what i would do is go on ebay and check out the used or sometimes new double din navi they sell. There going for good prices

I just put in the avh-4200 and love it, you can't go wrong with the avh-p3200bt as well if you like bluetooth.

Get the metra kit and it will look great.

avh-4200! check out a thread started by me (03TLS audio makeover).. it has pix after install.. very clean w/the metra kit w/alot of really cool features.. like when u have the ipod connected u can control the music w/the ipod OR the screen. O and video bypass is cake work.

Alright bought a new pioneer avh-4200dvd tonight.I couldnt go wrong with the price and reviews can't wait to get it!

 

I can't seem to find the metra kit for a 99 cl...there 99 tl etc but can anyone lead me in the direction for the metra kit?Or does 99 Tl fir the cl as well?!

 

Not sure. I followed the CL install guide for my TL, so it stands to reason they are the same. I bought it on eBay, nice fella local to me (honestdee or something like that.)

 

The honda kits are pretty universal for those years, try finding a kit that works for a 94-97 accord
