lookin to get an amp/sub

im lookin at getting one 15" audiovahn aw1508t flame compression series sub and get an audiobahn a1500hct amp to go with it, the subs rms is 2000 and so is the amp at 1 ohm. im plannin on putin it in my trunk i just want to no if it will be to much wattage? thanks

ya way too much the alternator will put out about 1700 watts MAX, that has to run all your cars electrical system and your audio system. You will have to get a more powerfull alternator to power anything more than 1300 watts or so.

I also agree...stay away from that brand, they are all talk

is there a high output alternator for the tsx? well if audiobahn isnt any good what do yall suggest? i want a 15" with atleast 1000 watts rms

I actually dont even know about the TSX alternator (call the dealer and ask for the max amperage). You can go to a shop that re-winds alternators and see if they will do it for you if needed.

in regards to the comment: i just want to know if it will be too much wattage; the answer is no, there is NEVER TOO MUCH wattage.

By the way I had this amp and 2 other MTX highs amps hooked up to some components and 1 JL 12w7 and never had any power/alternator problems.
