I am wanting to put my subs from my previous car into my "new" 2004 Acura TSX. I realized after getting the car, that I would not be able to put a new HU where the Navi is. I understand that I can put one in the little compartment, however, I see no point in that. Everywhere I look for installing a LOC is for behind the console/Factory stereo.


Since I am doing the subs, I am wanting to put the LOC in the trunk with everything else. Do I just use a t-splicer to tap into each wire? Or would I go about this differently?

 

My Monoblock amp also has speaker level input. Would I just do the same, with splicing the speaker wires for the 6x9s, once I find the plug for the amp?

Just get an amp with speaker level inputs and connect it to the rear 6x9s. You can get the speaker wire adapters (Honda 98 and up) so you don't have the cut any wires. If you plan to go with an amp for the main channels than get one with balanced inputs so you can go direct to the HU with my harness.
Review some of my posts of the Premium audio system, never cut or splice any wires and never try to tap into the back of the HU unless you like noise.

That's what you need but instead of using them to connect aftermarket speakers you would use them to connect to the speaker level input of your amp. Just unplug the factory speaker and and connect with the adapter. your amp has signal sensing so your good to go.

Wouldn't I lose my 6x9s? Or are those only woofers anyways
