Line In to the stock head unit?

Line In to the stock head unit?
Besides a cheezy casette adapter, has anyone found a way to get "line in" into the stock head unit?
I figure there has to be a way to "fool" the unit into thinking the CD changer is attached when actually it is some other line level device like an MP3 player.
I have no CD Changer at this point and don't plan to get one if I can avoid it!

Sorry... been there... tried that... didn't work. Ended up with a CD changer which I don't use. MP3 Installation

Yes I saw your article, its great! I guess I can get a 6 disc changer damn cheap used somewhere, I was just hoping there was a better way. Do you have sources for that changer adapter that you recommend?
