Unfortunately this is the only 10" version of that sub in existence. But here is a video I made of its smaller brother, the 10" Brahma under excursion:

Some crazy specs right there... Do you still build custom subs? If so, I'm interested... I'm planning a new build right now, just trying to get rid of some stuff to pay for it...

I built it when I worked for the company who designed it. I do have a suggestion for a sub. You should check out this one: Shiva-X It uses a similar motor to the Brahma, which was featured in the video and is designed by the same person. It also features the xbl^2 motor topology which will keep the distortion down throughout all that excursion.

Here's my setup.
10" Alpine Type E on left
12" Alpine Type E on right
Both in my glass sub enclosures
2 Alpine Amps total 550-600watts. Can't remember.

Have had it like this for 4 years now. Wow! Time to change it up. Going back to 2 10's in new glass boxes soon.

How does it sound with the subs firing at each other and being different sizes?

Thx guys. I love the way it sounds. Some audiofiles might not like it, but i'm an old school bass head that likes those low rumble tones. I have a feeling when I go back to dual 10" set up I won't like it as much. But after 4-5 years, it's time for a switch. I can always go back.

Very nice... I had (just sold last night) an older (not quite true old school) Orion 1200D, the all chrome ones. That thing is a beast... Still using it till money comes through.

On the old school Rockford side of things, I had a chance at an 1100a2 for like 300... Unfortunately, I didn't even have 300 to my name, so I had to pass... I was pissed that I couldn't pick that up, because it's a monster...

Absolutely no trunk haha! Trying to devise a way to fix this problem, maybe smaller subs?

  1. 2 Kicker 06S12L7 Subwoofers wired down to 1Ohm each
  2. Kicker ZX 1500.1
  3. 4 Gauge wiring
  4. Stinger Circuit Breaker on Battery

Those are custom boxes built by a friend.

It gets pretty loud in there sometimes, half gain, boost up, breathing gets difficult.

More port area would make them much louder on that amp... They should be good for more power... If you want louder, re-build the box with more port area...

I'm not very good at doing anything discreetly... Not one of my strong character traits I guess...
