Uh oh... I guess I'll be the first to respond...

Sub: RD Alpha V.2 with flatwind coil option.

In the box:

Through the ski-pass:

Right now, I'm running about 1200w to it, even though it can take about 2500-3k daily, thanks to those amazing flatwind coils. Here's a pic of the amp:

Orion 1200D:

I'm about 2-3 weeks from selling my amp, and buying a new one. Right now, I'm looking at the Sundown SAZ-2000D, and it's awesome pre-sale price... Too bad I'd be ampless till late June...

New build in progress: (teaser)

6.3 cubic feet... That's the internal volume of the box for that 18" BTL... They need a lot of space...

yes 6.3 is the internal volume of the box. Fi says 5-10 cubes, and this is the biggest drop in box I could fit.

What??? I can't hear what you are saying.

Damn that is some sick sound power in those subs, but I like my hearing too much to want that much power.

Dude, you really need to learn: Less is More... Either get rid of the 18, or ditch the 12's... You could really get louder with a couple of 12's and proper power and electrical, but hey, whatever you want to do...

This set up will get to to loud....4 12's sealed. And a 18" btl ported for the low lows. humm.the BTL by it self will bring the thunder. The 4 12's is to surround the passengers in pain.Besides I havent seen another cl with my side body enclosures.Thats a great way to take advantage of the air space .The side subs dont take up any extra room.I would say that a little inovative.I can appreciate your comment thou.

The frame of your sub looks simular to my btl just alot smaller.Your 12 would probally out pound my 18 huh?My 12's are going to be for riding. And when Its time to crush a street banger, that's when the 18 is going to come alive. 12's will have there own amp as well as the 18.I'm not a compition minded guy.I just like when someones bumping at a light. And they turn off there system. hopefully in a couple of weeks all the subs will be powered.

true but I wasn't comparing .y 1r's to ur 18. I was gonna do a new motor 18 fully loaded btl but don't have the 7 cubes that is optimum for it so went with 12's I had a dd 15 and the 12's are louder. it all in the box and I've got a sick designed one. I gotcha the way it sounded you were gonna run the 12's and 18 at the same time. and you never know which of our set ups would be louder. I would be interested in seeing what u meter though I just figured it would be louder without the 12 box blocking the path

Right now the only upgrade to the electrical is 0 gauge from batt to amp.and big 3 done in 0gauge.had a cap but took it out.I dont know what my voltage drop is but I have under driving pullys that take 10-15% away from my alt.So its pretty bad.My amp pulls 140amps now.And with the pullys taking there share the alt is putting out 85-90amps.I cant even power the amp I have now properly.Any advise on a good drop in alt for a 01 cl?

O, I bet I'm cliping hard.My sub amp that I have is 1 ohm stable @ 1600w rms,I'm running the shit out of it @ .5ohm. The amp is trying to put out 2000+ rms.Plus my gain is @ 75% and Boost is at 100%.my car was really slow at rolling windows down when I was pounding the other night. Also I did do modifiying to open up a clear path to the cabin. But had a Idea and did block it up.But I was kinda thinking to ditch the 6x9's .mod in a set of componets .And let some air threw the 6x9 openings some how,or what about a big slot port across the whole deck?

slot port on deck might help.. I took out my 6x9's and it was way freakin louder than them in. wow yea I bet its clipping bad. be careful sending clipped dirty power is what blows subs the most. you def need a batt. .5 ohms what amp you have I was gonna try .5 but didn't wanna fry my amp

Love it...so clean.

My plan is to get one of these from Travis.

OK, here is a picture of my sub. It is a 10" Adire Audio Tumult that I built myself. It is one of the baddest 10" subs in existence.
