Lake Lanier area help!

Are there any Audio Gurus in the Lake Lanier/Buford/Gwinnett area? I want to learn how to install a simple system instead of giving my money to a shop everytime I get a new vehicle. The setup I'm looking to install is pretty simple.
This is what I've got:

2003 TL type S with Nav

Elemental Designs
-eDi 6500 components (6.5")
-13kv.2 Subwoofer (12")
-eD eDead v1SE² (I think I have 25 sf)
Planet Audio VX4004 amp (4 channel)
4 channel amp kit (Knu Konceptz)
(2) LOCs (soundgate)

An here are a few pics of what I had in mind. They come from an installer in San Jose, CA (Bing). The vehicle was a Subaru LGT.

I know nothing about car audio and am ready to learn! Maybe we can have a mini meet. My brother in a member too. He drives an 03 TL type S. Notice how it doesn't say nav at the end of his. I give him shit about that as much as possible.
Oh yeah, Beer and dinner on me!

It isn't hard to just install it, you should be able to find a good tutorial somewhere. The hard part is making it look clean like the images you posted. That takes patience and the right amount of time to make it come out looking that good.

Try to google for a basic tutorial on how to run wire from the battery to the trunk. Once you do that it isn't that hard to hook up the power to an amp. Then run the wires from amp to sub. You'll also have to run a ground wire from amp to a grounded spot in your trunk.

I don't know if you are adding an aftermarket head unit and/or speakers. If not, search the TL forums for a tutorial or help on how to hook up the sub to the stock HU/navi.

I have a nice set of components, amp, and sub I want to install. I just don't know what to doe as far as how to get power from the amp to the comps, where the LOCs go, and how to hook up everything to get signal to the radio. From the battery to the amp, amp to the sub, and grounding the amp doesn't seem too difficult. I did a little searching on the forum and didn't some up with much. Just something on adding a sub.

Yeah I don't know how to make your speakers work from the signal to the radio.. I know you said you searched but there has to be something on one of these forums that can help you out.

Or if you don't find anything, just have a shop bypass what you can't do, and you finish the rest.

I would really like to learn, first hand, the basics of installations. You guys ever hear the saying: "Give a man a fish and you'll feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you'll feed him for a lifetime."

Research research research or just go in your car and figure stuff out. Since you are using the stock navi you are going to have to find out a way to get your new speakers to work with it.. that is the research part. To actually install it, just use your research and go in your car and just physically do it.

That is how I learned how to do my stuff. I did research and just figured out how to get everything put in my car.. I installed a carputer in my car, and although it isn't 100% finished it is very nice to say I did it myself
