Know hardly anything about subs

Looking for something thats just right. Something to complement music rather than having my trunk make things fly off it, if you know what I mean? Price range ~150, any suggestions? I have no idea what brands are good or what not.

So you want an SQ sub.

Well it is a little out of your budget, but this sub would be a great choice: http://www.diycable.com/main/product...roducts_id=693 It utilizes the xbl^2 motor topology so distortion is extremely low.

For something a lot cheaper but still using the same motor as above, you could try this one: http://www.diycable.com/main/product...roducts_id=674 I haven't modeled it up though so I don't know how well it would do in an enclosure.
