What kind of box should I get for a kicker L7? Ported? Sealed? Vented? Any if u can please explain the different types and its cons/pros. Thanks to everyone!

 

what kind of power will you be using?

If underpowering go ported. you will have much more output. Downfall the box will be huge and you must tune it to 32hz for good output and sq.

If overpowering go sealed.

I personally like the way a ported box sounds. I use to have my L7 sealed and ported. it sounded so much better ported.

 

i say go with sealed. i have 2 L7's in my 02' durango. i switched them to a vented box and didnt like the sound. it also depends on how much room you have. i have a 3000 watt hifonics amp pushing mine. what size and brand is your amp??
