What do you mean like you want just to add an amp and sub to a factory system?
If so just get yourself i line out converter, and an amp kit.
I work with car electronics for a living so if you've got any questions feel free to post up. I just purchased a CL a week or so ago so i'll be on the forum a bit.

If you want to keep your factory head unit and speakers but add an aftermarket sub youll need a line out converter and an amp installation kit. Youll also want to take out the factory sub and put some form of cloth cover over the hole to stop the light from the third brake light coming through.

thanks for replies. i heard about 8" shallow subs like the 500w ones from pioneer that can fit into the factory enclosure. is that a good idea?

I've never thrown an aftermarket subwoofer into a factory enclosure and been pleased with the sound honestly.

If it's not tuned properly, yes that can and will happen. If you set everything up right, that shouldn't happen.

i believe in the trunk right were your stock sub is at you can tap into the wires there. but i think the best place is to tap them right at the headunit before it goes through the factory amp. someone correct me if im wrong

You won't have any problems with distortion.
