JL amps

I have two solobaric L7 12's, i have two options either putting a jl 500/1 amp or a jl 1000/1 amp. Of course i want the 1000/1 but will it blow the speakers is that amp too powerful, or will the jl 500/1 do perfect or far underpower them?

I believe that the L7 12 handles up to 750 watts rms, so the two of them should be able to handle the 1000/1 easily.
