JL 500/1 Amp and W7 Sub?

Has anyone here installed a JL Audio 500/1 Amp with one or two JL Subs? Whether it's 10 or 12? A single or paired subs?
I plan on getting the JL Audio 500/1 Amp and one, maybe two 10w7's or one 12w7.
And then keeping the rest of the system stock for now.

Has anyone done this yet? Does it sound good?
Just curious. Thanks!

-Rob

A 500/1 would not push one muchless two w7's to their full potential. I've heard a 500/1 on a 10w7 and it sounded good but it could have been much louder with more power.

ChillRobP...What shawhite said but I would suggest a whole other amp. The w7's don't need the voltage regulation of the JL amps, and you're paying for it anyway.

I've heard the JL 500/1 push a 10W6 V2 and it thumped!!! I was extremely impressed with the new 10W6 V2s. I just wish they were available when I did my system...oh well, too late now.

I have a 500/1 powering 2 JLW3 12's. And yes, it pounds. Sounds really nice.

So was there any kind of trunk rattling from it?
How is your system set up?
I really just want one sub and the 500/1 amp. I plan on having it in the trunk.

Did you ever have problems with your set up?
And how did you hook it up? Did you change out anything else in your car?
Thanks!

What do you mean its gonna sound "nasty"? A lot of rattling? I need Streetz to measure my trunk and see if I can vent them through the rear deck. No rattles that way but maybe a broken window. If not, then I'm gonna try to a few layers of RaamMat and foam. We'll see.

Well, I'm gonna see what I can do. Venting it will solve all rattling problems for sure. I did it in my BMW and there wasnt even one rattle outside the car. I don't think I have room for a box that big though.
