Whatz crackin' man. I haven't seen you around the a/v forum for a minute. Yeah I heard about that Ipod thing too. I'm waiting for it and I'm hoping that the interface is going to be really good with our N1s.

I just got the Pioneer Sirius Tuner and the interface for our N1 sucks on that! It doesn't even show any song/artist info on the flilp out screen. Only on the 10 character LCD. This is primarily because the piece was made my Sirius and not Alpine. The Ipod adapter is made by Pioneer directly so I hoping the interface will be developed and allow us to fully control everything on the Ipod with the N1. We'll have to see. I going to wait for reviews before I get this. Sounds promising though.

Yeah, that Sirius interface was really aimed at mainstream HUs, not monitors. If they had the video output IC in there for the OSD it would cost more...but Pio needs to update the firmware to accomodate the Sirius data. I still blame PIO on that one...

Anyone know the expected release date on that? Also on the AVIC-D1?

Yep..you kinda warned be about that in advance Eld. I still went with it anyone since I really wanted Sirius and wanted the integrated controls. I think Pioneer does need to update the firmware though. Hopefully they will do it soon. Good thing they've been sending me new updated Navi/firmware discs!

So for the XM add on tuner. Do you know if it makes use of the OSD?

I just downloaded the instructions for the XM tuner and it looks like the XM tuner doesn't have an OSD either. to Pioneer.

Does anyone know if the Alpine flip out screens have this poor of an interface?
