iPod in my TSX

I want to find a way to listen to my iPod in my TSX and I bought one of those FM transmitters, and was dissappointed in the sound quality. Does anybody know how to have CD quality audio in your car directly from your iPod?

Amcel,
You probably want to look into getting a SNHOND3 adapter that plugs into the harness for your head unit. If you search this forum you'll see a lot of posts on it. I remember seeing a post where someone had step-by-step install pictures. Good Luck

Amcel .. did you not see the sticky thread in this section?

It tells you everything you need to know. Basically buy an aux-in adapter and away you go.

I'm not sure how enthusiastic he'd be to spend that much more money on a player that only can hold 700MB of MP3s, when he spent ~$400CAD one that can hold min. 5GB.

Amcel330, what transmitter did you try? Was it the Griffin iTrip? Because I just got mine (I have the 3G 20GB iPod) and I find it to work quite well. Mind you, I don't have the 360 Watt Premium Audio system in my car that you have (I don't have a TSX yet), so maybe the annoying nuances of the FM transmission show up worse. However, you're absolutely correct in your assumption that a Line-In solution would work the best. When I finally drop my money on a TSX, I'll definitely be looking into doing this....maybe by then, we'll have some manufacturer that makes a cable that you don't have to cut wires with.....

are you saying this because of all the other responses or have you seen physical proof (not talking about proof via oem mp3 player) of an ice link or icruze attached to the navi?

Try searching for IceLink and you will find multiple threads where this has been confirmed.

ive not only searched but ive been following threads related to this all along. the only conclusiveness that anyone has is that the regular icelink. im not too sharp on the differences between the regular icelink, icelink plus or icruze. i just know ive read that the icruze should work with with displays that show id3 info. nobody has confirmed that the navi display doesnt show id3, theyve just made determinations bc the oem mp3 player and icelink dont display anything. theres no way that acura changed the headunit substantially enough to allow id3 tags and text for xm radio. this is just my assumption, im still going to wait until someone has rock hard knowledge that its not going to work.

If the IceLink Plus can't do it, I doubt the iCruze will be able to.

I thought I read somewhere that you could buy a little external display for the ICruze.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I just thought I would mention it.

IPOD adapter to 2005 TSX

I've been told by Logjam Electronics that there is no way to utilize any IPOD adapters in the TSX 2005 because of the XM radio. Anyone have any luck?

Any Portland, Oregon area owners of '05 TSX vehicles want to take this on with me?

Yep, as long as you don't have navi. If you have navi, you need another honda harness too.
