Ipod install **pics**

Well I decided to go with the ICELINK. So far well worth the $200 I love the ability to control the Ipod through the steering wheel it's also nice that the ICELINK charges the Ipod whenever its on the cradle.

Which do you like better the black case or the plain white?

so you use the cd changer controls, to control the ipod? So you don't use the cd changer anymore? Is there some switch you use to to change back to the changer?

I still use the in-dash 6disk changer. I can control the Ipod volume and track from the stering wheel. The way I switch imputs bewteen the CD changer and the Ipod is just by pressing the "CD" button on the stock deck and it will toggle between the two.

The ice page said to have it professionally installed. A buddy of mine wants to do this on his prelude. Was it that hard to do?

Nice job but it has to be hard to see. Why didn't you use an accessory mount like Pro-fit?

The most annoying part about the install is having to take out the stock deck. for directions on that click here: http://www.abunchofcars.com/diy_page...er_console.htm

I mounted the small black ICELINK box with some self taping screws. (see pic)
You can see where you plug in the ICELINK to the stock deck. (see pic)
BTW: you see that bunch of wires wraped in yellow...just move it to the right of where the box sits. I aslo mounted the box at a diagnal sloping downward from left to right. With the yellow bunch to the right of the box.

I didn't like the pro-fit becasue it didn't look very clean and I didn't like where they had to be mounted.

- cost $200
- enables you to use your volume and track control though the stering wheel.
- the Ipod constantly charges when in the cradle.

just make sure you get the v1.1 I called their phone number and ordered it that way.
