Ipod help

Alright well i have this fm transmitter hardwired into my car, and for some reason it's not working. I dont know where it's plugged into so i can look it up if you anyone can help me with specific directions in where I can find the problem to this. It came with a switch in my glovebox to turn it on and off and no matter what position its in, its not working.....Can someone please help? Or at least give usgestions on what i can do.

The point to FM transmitters is the don't have to be hardwired, you tune the station and play..

You have to give more details b/c i'm lost..
