Installing new amp..need help

Hey guys...
How do you remove the back seat to access the stock sub amp?
Also, which wire from the stock sub amp do I have to tap to get the +/- signal for my new aftermarket amp to power the new sub?

hey randomwalk101
Sorry for the delay. I just saw your post in TLS and since you posted the same questions here, I just reply here then.

I don't 100% remember the steps I took to remove the back seat but I hope this one helps (I saved the previous posts while I was researching) :

Quote from TL Daddy :
If you're facing the back window, there is a bolt at the right side of the armrest (between the seat back and seat bottom) Spread the seat bottom and back with your hand and you'll see it bolted to the metal floor of your TL. That bolt is holding a little metal arm - remove that bolt. Now pull up on the front parts of the seat bottom and pop the 2 clips that are holding the seat bottom (1 clip in front of left & right side). IMPORTANT: Make sure you remove the bottom of the seat before the back or you'll scratch your leather with the metal parts of the seat back!!! Pull the seat bottom out of the car and remove the 3 remaining 10mm bolts that are holding the seat back to the floor. See those 2 big metal tabs on the bottom? Careful you don't scratch your paint when you take that out of the TL.
Now take the seat belts and swing them around so that they're behind the seat back. Push up on the whole seat back - towards the ceiling - to remove the 4 large clips that are holding the seat back to the rear deck. This is the hardest part! Just take your time! Pull the back out of the car and you'll see your trunk and your sub amp behind the right side seat. Let me know if you need anything else buddy!!!

Now for the wiring :
This is the way I did it :

Check out the diagrams below from Iggy :

http://www.drcook.net/images/acura-t...y-circuit1.jpg

If you look at Iggy's schematic, the subwoofer has 4 wires connected to the stock amp.
Below the stock amp, there are two wires connected to the amp marked 7 & 8. Those are you low level input lines. These wires are sheilded twisted pair wires. If you managed to take off the back seat and unhook the stock amp, you will see it. The wires are in brown shielded.
You need to tap the twisted pair in that shield cable. One way of doing it is to carefully cut off the shield and try to expose the two wires inside. I forgot the polarity of the wires ... you probably need to find out yourself.
Once your have sucessfully tapped the wires, remove the connection to the stock amp since you don't need to connect to the stock amp anymore.

The rest should be straight forward.

Let me know if you need anymore info. I will do my best to help out.

Cheers !!!
