Hi All,
I'm thinking about changing all the factory speakers with Kenwood Dual-Mag (the front components, the 6.5 coax and 6x9 in the rear) and keeping the stock amp (for now)
Does anybody know a good pro-installer in SoCal? Somebody with prior experience with the TSX preferably. I don't want to go to Circuit City. Is "Al & Ed's" any good?
I read in a previous post that there isn't a crossover between the front mid and tweet components, but that a capacitor does the job. When replacing the OEM components, I want to use the crossover that comes with the Kenwoods, so that capacitor is useless then. Is there a way to remove it or it's integrated in the amp itself?
Thanks.

If you are referring to my post, that was theorizing, not verified. The crossover is in the amp, but if you are putting coaxials in the doors they will play highs... just disconnect the dash tweets.
SoCal is kinda big, man. There are many good installers in the southyern half of the state of California. Al and Ed's is a big chain - I'm sure there are some good installers, and I am sure many of them suck.
Competition Soundworks in Cerritos used to be really good.

Yes, that's true, SoCal is kinda big. Let's say a 50 mile radius around Irvine
I want to have seperate components in the front (the coax 6.5 I mentionned were the speakers in the rear doors). So if the crossover is in the amp, is it possible to bypass it and use the Kenwood's crossover? And is it worth it?
Thanks again.

) It was an extremely popular anime in Quebec in the late 70s and early 80s (wow I'm old!). In Japan it was known as Grandizer UFO Robot. The English translation really, really sucked... The French translation was very good (which was all that mattered when I was 8!)Ciao!
