Infinity Basslink tuning...

How do most people w/ a basslink have their gain, crossover, and bass boost set? One thing I've noticed is that the basslink doesn't seem to hit very hard...or cleanly... on bass thumps. On low freq signals though it definitely can rumble my whole car (thanks CLS rattles). Am I missing the point of a sub? And the short bass thumps would be better felt from replacing the stock rear and/or side speakers?

thanks,

you might have the crossover too high, so you are getting the frequencies with voices and more mids that are not supposed to be in there. just make sure that ONLY bass comes out of the sub, and then just turn the gain up with the system turned up as loud as you will play it untill you hear distortion, then go back till it is clear and stop. that is how i did mine, and it sounded good to me. it is def not going to be as loud/thump hard as a seperate sub with a box and amp will be...ever. so yea, if that is what you are looking for, you gotta spend a lil more moeny to get that low end.

well the basslink wont perform nearly as well as a more traditional setup, so it isnt as clear and doesnt hit as hard as a normal system would... perhaps you would be more happy with a larger system?
