I am selling my car and my 6 disc changer has the infamous er1 ( sp? ) . My question is i remember reading around on here that if you take the deck out and tinker with it a little you can get it working again. I went to a couple stereo shops and all of them refused to put an hour labor into trying to fix it. They said its patented, it will break it more then it already is, or some other excuse. It just seems to me there all lazy and dont want to deal with the hassle.

Alright back to the question. Should I put any effort into it or just sell it with a broken cd changer?

get access to the antenna (its on the driver side behind the radio)..unplug..type in the code..put the antenna plug back in..and your done.

 

and it shouldnt take no more than 10 min if you know what your doing.

ooh..jammed as the CD wont come out? cuz if thats the problem grab another CD and push down the CD that is stuck and it should come out after that.
