How do you open it. I don't see any way I can open it. I really need to clean the fan on the back side of my PS2

What were you doing - - chipping it? Otherwise, what did you need to open it for to put it in your car? You would have had to:

- Cut the warranty sticker which voids it automatically.
- Remove approx 6 screws from the bottom under the "feet"
- Dismantle the plastic pieces comprising the USB and controller ports
- Remove several very small precision screws covering the board
- etc.

(not that I've done this or anything)

PSOne - $50
PSOne 6-wire Stealth Chip - $13
PSX games - $0.00 using newsgroups

You really aren't going to see the far superior graphics of the PS2 on a 5.6" or 7" screen so why not just go with the PSOne in the car? Cheaper console and all of the good games are routinely posted in the groups. When I get my MDX I'm going to have the PSOne in there for my 3-year old. I'm always surprised by the quality and look of the PSOne games.

BTW, I'm not just cheapin' out. I have a 5501 and a PSOne, 2 DC's and a PS2. I think the PSOne is better for portability because it's smaller than the others and I won't care as much if something happens to it and I have to replace it.

PS2 can definately be chipped. A buddy of mine at work does em. Hes chipped the newer PCB too and it worked like a champ.
