ok i've been on the search for alarm systems for my 03 tl -s. i was going to go for a clifford avantguard 4 but after the price quote i decided to opt for just keeping my stock alarm and adding on to it.

I went to my dealer (acura riverside) and he told me he could get me a sensor and a remote start (all clifford stuff) and i could keep my stock alarm and my stock key fob. cost : 350 including installation and everything.

is this way too much? i know the sensors are like 30 bucks but the remote starter is about 200.. so how does that translate to 350? anyhow.. lemme know what everyone thinks.. thanks

 

It called labor...You just can't throw parts together and expect it to work do you? So basically you are paying $120 for labor..which is not too bad...but considering you'll have to pay for the transponder bypass..which takes a little bit off from that $120 so you're looking at around $100 plus or minus...THat's a great price if he's a good installer and everything works as promised.
