Question I need help&advice indash DVD system

To all my fellow members, especially ACURA's TL-S. I need your help & advice pls?

Here's my problem, I have a 2002 TL-S non Navigation Silver in color with black interior. I wanted to put an in dash DVD system as well as 2 LCD screen (Headrest) for the back. I noticed that there's an extra slot above the cd player on my stock stereo I think it's for business card. I'm sure you guys know what I'm talking abouth. I'm just wondering if I can use that slot for an in dash dvd player I found a picture on the gallery that looks like it.
I want to know if there's an in dash DVD that well fit in that empty slot. And also I don't know what size of screen for my headrest. No Problem with the money. PLEASE HELP AND ADVICE ME. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE. aLSO if guys have a picture of your car that fit on my description pls email it to me so I can have some idea what is it look like :p THAAAAAAANK YOUUUU.
GOD BLeeS

the picture you saw in the gallery was the pioneer screen that has been modified to fit in that slot.... this can probably be accomplished with any of the flip out screens but there is going to have to be some modifications made to the dash or the unit so it will fit.... as for what size for the headrest.... i would say 7in should fit fine... but you again will have to modify the tls headrest or buy some tl headrest and then you could probably fit an 8in...

SHAWHITE:---> thank you so much for your reply I appreciate it. Do you have any idea or suggestion for what kind of brand I should get, if you chose pioneer what model is the best. I really liked the set up of the picture you told me. Is that yours??? Super clean, neat & beautiful. thankss.

no that is not mine i can only wish that my install would look like that... those pictures are off of ron@streeteffectz website... he does alot of custom installs... as for what screen i would got with... humm i would have to say none of them if i had it all to do over again i would just put 5.8 in screens in the visiors and 7in screens in the headrest and run it all thru the stock headunit... but if you must have the flip out tv in the little slot maybe look @ the pioneer avx-7300, and also check into the sony and panasonic... dont know there model numbers... also check this link out http://www.arrantcypher.com/inspire/ this is to another tl members install... just giving you ideas... as for the headrest monitors i would go with icon, accele, nesa, fareheit probably in that order...

Question

shawhite, I did a search and found your post in another forum regarding the AVX7300 and how you tried to install it but couldnt get it to fit. I am purchasing the AVX7300DVD and I was wondering how it differs from the AVX7000 such that it cant be installed in exactly the same way as the picture above. Your input would be greatly appreciated since I luv my new TLS and I dont want my dashboard screwed up by an overzealous local installer. :flamer:

well quamosa any thing can be done for the right about of money... the reason i could not get the avx7000 to fit was because i was not comfortable disassembling the unit to make it small enough to fit in that opening.. either way you go you will probably have to cut the stock radio/navi bracket in half... the avx7300dvd is basically the same as the avx7300 except is has a dvd player on the bottom... this may pose a problem cuz now you need more room... because instead of just the screen having to fit in that slot you have to fit the screen and the dvd player in a slot that is roughly 1-1 1/2 inches... but the good news is that is has been done... me personally i would just change out the whole stock headunit...
