okay, well im trying to install an amp/sub in my 01 CL. followed the directions on the DIY page. but im not getting power on my amp. i checked all the fuses and have my remote wire connected to the "constant power" line that goes into the bose stock amp. can anyone help? is my remote wire plugged in wrong? shouldn't i get at least power to the amp even if my remote wire isn't hooked up? thanks.

 

I guess you are refferring to installing and amp on a stock system. If so I am not too sure as I have not done that before. However, the amp should not turn on unless you have the remote connected. You will get power to the amp though. By that I mean you should be able to take a volt meter and get a reading at the amp on the positive and ground terminals.

 

I agree with 2001Audi grab a volt meter and start following the power wire etc..
