I need an amp...........

I got a 15 inch Elipse aluminum sub and need an amp to power it. It needs to be at least 500 watts RMS.

I was thinkin' about the jl500/1 but there high as shit (price).

Anybody know of any quality amps that can push that much power.

if you are looking for cheap and good reliable power, hifonics has been good to me:

the brutus bx1000d i believe is the model number can be had on ebay (thats where i got mine) for around 240 shipped: puts out 1000 watts rms @ 1ohm and comes with a bass knob

hifonics amp

this is mine

i can also vouch for soundstream which i had powering 2 jl w3v2 12"s

and of course you can always go with the jl amps... but they are downright expensive, gonna hook up a 10" in the s2k in the next week or so powered by a 250/1

That amp is only 250 watts x 1 channel into 4 Ohms

I need 500 watts x 1 into 4 Ohms.

brutus bx1500d

thats the nice thing about the jl's... 500w/1 at any ohm load (within reason)
