I finally gave in
And bought 4 Alpine SPS-170A's for the doors. I'm not worried about the install at all, I've swapped out lots of door speakers.
What I am worried about is mid and high frequency reproduction in my sound system. I have unplugged my 6x9s and used the wiring for my 10" sub. However I have noticed a lack of midrange in my music, and I was hoping that the Alpines would help with that.
As for the highs, I am going to leave the OEM tweets for now, but I am wondering if it made any sense to buy coax's for the doors - do they get full-range signal or just low frequencies ?
I am hoping this makes an improvement.
