I had my xm commader installed at a shop and he directly connected it with the SHOND. He ran the wires down to the right kick panel where the xm reciever was and i could hear the engine through my speakers! Someone here recommended that i run them down the center tunnel. So i moved the whole xm reciever to the trunk and ran all the wires (including the RCA cables) through the center tunnel. it cleared up the engine noise only about 40%!!! So i was wonderin how i could just get rid of it all. Can someone please help me?

a tsx... i bought a GLI from radio shack yesterday and it fixed about 90% of the noise, so for now its great. is there anything else i could do to eliminate it all?

 

Thats pretty much your problem, the power causes the noise (ground loop). If you hard wire it at the right spot you might not get any noise, but Im not sure what the "right spot" is (head unit, stock amp, etc...)

 

I don't think anyone has been able to totally eliminate the noise yet.

 

yea i didnt think so... i tried searchin. i cant hear it unless im trying to, so i dont mind
