Hurry...tv Tuner Help Please!!

would an Alpine TUE-T011A tv tuner work just like the Pioneer GEX-P7000 with the navi->tv conversion?

i'm about to buy the Alpine but if it's not going to work i don't wanna waste my money.

From what I know, navi->dvd convertion required a converter, not a TV tuner.
