If I put the JL12w7 in the trunk..

and.. put 2 of 8" subs to back seats..?

how will the sound be??

Putting the 8s in the backseat or putting them in the trunk facing the backseats? It's very difficult to make different size subs sound good in a trunk. If you power that 12W7 with sufficient power...I dont think you'll even notice those 8s are even there.


Alot of people use 8s inside the cabin for sound quality...they'll provide better mid-bass. If you plan on putting them inside...then yes you can make it sound sweet, but it'll probably be a waste of space & extra weight if you place them in the trunk along with the W7.

 

You need at least 1000W to drive the 12w7. And if you got that much power going to it, I don't think that you will need anything else for base. But of course it all depends on what's your goal is, SQ or SPL.
