How to use SNAP CONNECTORS
Ok guys, this might be a silly question... but I have never done this before.
I need to use snap connectors for 2 wires because I am changing my ugly red spoiler light for a new clear one.
How do you use the Snap Connector from Radio Shack (male and female)?

With the spoiler light, it may be tricky since you have to feed the wire through the spoiler and out the hole behind the led lens. Here is what I did without using clips and my spoiler light on my other car has worked this way for over 4 years.
1. Unscrew your existing light and remove.
2. Pull out as much slack as possible.
3. Cut the wires on your new light, but leave enough to work with.
4. Strip the wires on the existing red and black coming through the hole and strip th wires on the new light wires. At least 1/2 inch.
5. Then tightly twist the wires together and put a thin layer of electrical tape over it.
6. Make sure you step on your brake to test it before the next step.
6. Gently pull the slack out while holding the new lens and guide it into the opening while pulling the slack from in the trunk.
7. Tighten the light and take up the slack in the trunk with wire tie.
Now of course, this is the way I did it.
Using the clips will be extra work, but I personally don't think they are necessary. The way I did mine on my Accord works fine for me and it's a very clean wiring job. Can't even see the wires in the trunk. Then, I connected it to the third brake light wiring. I made connections and plugged them right into the bulb goes using spade connectors.
