How to remove stock sub?

I think my stock sub is making a rattling sound, it sounds like its hitting the rear window although that doesn't seem possible. I have an aftermarket head unit anyway, and no sound is going through the stock sub, so I want to remove it. My problem is I have a box with 2 12"s in the trunk already, am I going to have to take this out to remove the stock sub? I didn't see any way to do it from the back seat, but I just want to make sure I have to unbolt something from inside the trunk before I remove my subs.

on the little middle child saftey seat ancor pop teh little cover off, then remove the bolt you see there (10or 12 mm i think, its been awhile since i pulled it out) then the cover should pull up, it will be hard it would be easier if you removed the rear seat back but it does come off with out doing so. you will have to undo the 2 brake lights before doin this also. then there are 4 little bolts to remove from the top side for teh sub.

odds are its not the sub you hear, its probably the rear deck lid cover

How much more sound do you get when you remove the factory sub?

Well I just finished removing the sub, I don't notice a big difference but it might be louder.

It turns out my rattle wasn't even my sub, it was where the nav system is bracketed to the car. Tightened those bolts and the annoying rattles went away.

Also, if you do remove your stock sub, be careful not to scratch your rear window. I was trying to avoid cutting the wires that go to the stock sub (ended up cutting them anyway) and I scratched off a tiny bit of tint on the rear window. Damn, and it's supposed to be sketch to remove tint from the rear window (so I can get it reapplied) because it might ruin your rear defroster (or so the tint people told me).

Also, anyone know what the bolt that goes into the stock sub cover looks like? Judging from the size of the hole it muse be a bolt that has a huge washer or something on it, to keep the sub cover bolted to the car (unless that hole is supposed to be there, I just figured since mine didn't have a bolt that one was missing).

Now that Ive driven around some more and listened to more music, it might actually be a bit louder. I can't tell if I'm imaging it or not, but if you aren't using the stock sub I'd say go for it, it was surprisingly easy.
