How to remove shifter plate ?
I recently did a dumb ass move and spilled some sticky liquid near my shifter plate. when i go out of park or into the tiptronic mode it sticks like crazy. Anyone framiliar with removing it to clean ?

damn you are in for some work.... you have to remove the whole console to get at that.... remove the wood pieces on the side by opening the armrest compartment and pulling up on the wood pieces... then remove the 2 screws in the bottom of the arm rest compartment... then remove the 4 screws where the cup holder connects to the console piece that is around the shift plate.... then pop out the piece of plastic under the change holder to remove 2 more screws.... then push the seat heater switches from the bottom and disconnect them... i believe there is another 2 screws at the top of this console piece that connect to the stock radio remove those also... after you have removed all this you should be able to take out the armrest part and the console around the shift plate... have fun....
