how to remove not an ash tray!?!

how to remove not an ash tray!?!

Does anyone know how to remove the not an ash tray and the storage compartment above it? without damaging anything? i wanna do an XM install

I assumed that goes without saying but I guess you can never be too safe.

Anyhow, start by removing the cd storage compartment. It's just held it by clips so all you have to do is put your hand in palm up and press against the roof of the compartment as you pull forward. Don't pull on the door because you can break it. The whole compartment slides out without much difficulty.

Once the CD compartment is out there are two screws holding in the "not an ashtray". They're pretty obvious once you're looking at it.

its been a while, but isn't there 4 screws, 2 on the front and 2 on the back?
