how to make 6.5's fit in door?

i have a 1st gen ... and i know 6.5's fit but my installer said that they cant cause magnet is too big.. so now im stuck with em ... anyone got ideas..?? yes i know i posted this in 1gen forum .. just need help!!

I used a spacer to get mine to fit, they just barely made it though.

Make the hole bigger. Anything is possible. I say if your installer says it won't fit, time to find another installer. This is a simple mod. I did my rear doors myself.
