how long did you guys wait?

hey all, waitin on gettin my tsx this commin tuesday hopefully!
anyway, my question here is how long did you guys wait before starting on some audio changes? i was thinking that since my car will be new that i should at least wait till im done with engine break-in to make sure everything (electronic wise) is working before i start diggin in the fun. any help is appreciated. oh yeah and...

im planning to start off with a alpine type-r 12" powered by an alpine mrd-m300 or a mrd-m301 with 300w x 1 RMS (2ohm) and 350w X 1 RMS (2ohm) respectively. do you think this sub and amp combo will be good? i also plan on (mabye a month later) swapping out the front and back door 6 1/2's as well as the 6x9's with some alpine type-s speakers (would go for the r's but dont wanna cut metal) . i read on this forum that the type-s' run fine on the stock pioneer amp so i plan on doing that since im just looking for a nice audio system with some bass. im going to be running the stock head unit and im hoping that this will be a nice setup. im a soopa noob when it comes to car audio and any information/suggestions would be very helpful. oh yeah and how will this affect the electronics in my car? is it too much on the stock battery and alternator and ill need a capacitator or will this fun without a hitch with no risk to my car. this is going to be my first new car so i dont wanna take any risks! hehe thanks in advance

right now im running type r tweeters, 12" type r sub by a mrd-m500, and type s 6x9s with no problems at all as far as power wise... i waited a while, maybe like 6 months, before i dug into it. i dont think itll make a difference of when you swap em out, but its def. worth it

I wasn't planning on doing any audio upgrades but after my amp and sub from my old car didn't sell on ebay I decided to put them in. I don't think I'm going to do anything else with speakers but I might add a SNHOND line in.

cool, thanks for the input guys, the only thing i was kinda concerned about was the addition of an amp and a subwoofer too early that might be blamed by dealers if any electrical problems arise. i guess i can wait a couple months before i go and spend some more cash on audio

I waited until I couldn't stand the quality of the audio setup anymore. It was $800 well spent.
