How do you install these?

I want to get these to install in my trunk, so that when the trunk opens they go on and when the trunk closes it goes off. Is this possible to do? What about if I get more than one strip?

Detailed instructions would be GREATLY appreciated, as I am more mechanical than electrical, if you know what I mean.

Thanks.
How exactly do I tap into the existing light as a power source?

Those are definitly slick for what he's wanting to do.I still do all my connects by hacking into wires and use butt connectors.I will be using those in the future I'm sure.

Those are just wire taps so that you don't have to splice any wires. Me, I soldered the ends to my trunk bulb and use a 24" led bar as my trunk light

All depends on how much current draw.Wires are rated to except only so much current to pass, also you might have to up the fuse size.for the trunk light. If I were going to do one or more I would totally delete the factory bulb to allow the added draw without adding more work or problems.
